About

I love my wife.  I love our daughter. I love our son.  I love the fact that modern technology makes it possible for me to publish my internal monologue in real time.  I love conversing with people.  Pushing them.  Getting pushed back.  I love taking time to dig into the complexities of the difficult questions and realizing that the answers are multi-faceted.

I lament injustice.  I lament division.  I lament hate.  I lament that the solutions to the problems that our societies face require a certain level of abandon and discipline that most are unwilling to enter into.  I lament the state of racial and ethnic relations in our world.  I lament that gender inequality.  I lament brokenness.

I celebrate a God of wholeness and restoration.

I attempt to do justice, love mercy and walk humbly with my God.

    Hi Christian,
Long time, no see. I hope things are going well – heard you were in Portland not so long ago. I was excited to send you a message because I am going to be in Kansas City at the end of July and hoped to see you (and your family), but Kent recently told me you had already moved on. Perhaps some other time then.
